Name: Tasha Coble Ginn
Role: Director of Leadership Development
When did you join the team: Fall 2021

What about leadership development and supporting principals resonates with you most?
The responsibilities of a principal are vast and essential to the success of a school. My more than two decades as an educator have made it clear to me that strong adaptive leadership skills, support, and self-compassion are essential for principals to lead schools that allow students and teachers to thrive.

What is something you have learned or taken away from PIC’s sessions and core content areas?
PIC’s sessions have reminded me of two essentials:  no one can do the important work of leading alone and one’s values are an essential foundational piece to the art of leadership.

How would you define equity for public education?
To me educational equity is providing the necessary resources, support, and learning environment that each and every child needs so that they can graduate prepared to succeed in their next chosen pathway after the completion of their K-12 education.

What three words would your community, family or friends use to describe you?
Consistent, woman of integrity, and passionate.

What educator (school leader, teacher, etc.) influenced or inspired you and why?
My first grade teacher, Mrs. Fannie Davis (Fort Worth ISD), remains the most influential educator I have encountered. She taught me the meaning of educational equity before I knew what it was.  I strongly believe the foundation she set for me continues to show up in my work as a continuous learner and educator.
