Adam Flores
Director of Leadership Development
A lifelong educator and school leader, Adam knew by high school that he wanted to be a teacher. After beginning his undergraduate adventure at a state school in Minnesota Adam left to study in Sevilla, Spain before heading to Colorado State University, where he received his B.A. in History as well as a license to teach from the School of Ed. After graduation, Adam spent five years honing his craft as a Social Studies teacher within a primarily migrant population, teaching Honors and AP U.S. History, General Ed U.S. History, and ESL U.S. History. Additionally, Adam was the Varsity Head Coach for Boy's and Girl's Soccer, and StuGo Director.
In his last two years of teaching Adam developed an outdoor ed program at his school, raising enough money to send students on weekend trips to the mountains to climb, backpack, and ski. In 2012 Adam Received a Master of Education in School Leadership from Harvard’s Graduate School of Education. Following graduation, Adam returned to Denver where he joined the EL Education network as the Assistant Director for Mapleton Expeditionary School of the Arts. In 2014 Adam moved to Dallas to become the founding principal of Texas’s first EL Education high school. In 2018 he joined the Dallas ISD team where he spent three years as an assistant principal before moving to Dallas ISD’s central office team where he supported district leaders and their teams in implementing Formative Assessment practices through coaching and professional development.
In his new role with PIC, Adam is excited to continue to support principals in their efforts to impact student outcomes. When he isn’t working on educational efforts, Adam is probably climbing, running, biking, or hanging out with his wife and newborn.
