Amy Lippa, PhD
Program Manager
Amy currently serves as a Program Manager for the PIC team. In this role, she supports PIC leaders in the New Principal Academy and district leaders participating in the Leadership Lab program.
Amy earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M University and began her teaching career in Richardson ISD. She earned her Master of Education degree in Educational Administration from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. After spending a decade teaching at the elementary level and as an assistant principal in Virginia, her family moved to Austin where she began working on her doctorate in Educational Policy and Planning. She earned her Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Texas at Austin in May of 2016, and her research focused on leadership for equitable outcomes.
Most recently, Amy worked with the Lake Travis Independent School District in Austin coordinating the At-Risk program at Lake Travis high school. This opportunity provided Amy with a lens to expand her belief in the importance of equity as a framework for educating student learners.
She joins the PIC team as a champion for public education and is excited about the opportunity to support the initiative to provide quality leadership learning opportunities for school leaders in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area.
