Rachel Chewakin, M.Ed. 
​

Lead, Special Projects & Talent 

​Rachel currently serves as the Lead of Special Projects and Talent on the PIC team. In this role, she leads alumni programming for the Principal Fellowship graduates and co-leads the New Principal Academy for new principals in Dallas. She also leads The Principal Fellowship recruitment and expansion, internal team hiring, and marketing and communications for PIC. 

She began her career as a fourth grade teacher at Uplift Summit International Preparatory in Arlington, Texas.  Prior to joining PIC, Rachel worked in various roles in the education space in Chicago. She served as the Community Development Director for an education company, as Chief of Staff at The Chicago Public Education Fund, and worked on talent and recruitment initiatives with the Noble Network of Charters Schools and Teach For America. 

Rachel earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a concentration in Non-Profit Management from Arizona State University and a Masters of Education in Cultural and Educational Policy Studies from Loyola University Chicago. She is a proud alumna of Leadership ISD's Civic Voices Fellowship and was awarded Fellow of the Year by her peers, and is an alumna of the Urban Leadership Fellowship in Dallas-Fort Worth. 

Outside of work, Rachel enjoys spending time with her family, volunteering at her church, and trying new restaurants around the metro-plex. She is an active member in the Junior League of Dallas where she serves as the Project Chair for the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum, as well as a former volunteer with the Dallas Zoo and Senior Source.
