
Claudia Vega
Program Facilitator
Claudia currently serves as Program Facilitator to provide facilitation and support for program participants. She has 20 years of experience in public education as a bilingual educator and administrator. She brings ten years of teaching experience at both the elementary and secondary levels.
She served as a campus principal for 10 years within Dallas ISD and led the school redesign process for the district’s first public Montessori school of choice. Most recently, Claudia served as principal at Sunset High School where she led the campus in earning multiple state distinctions in closing the achievement gap and post-secondary readiness. She has coached teachers, instructional coaches and campus administrators in leading positive change, creating responsive classrooms and building teams to support and advance learning for students.
Claudia earned her Bachelor’s of Journalism and Master’s of Secondary Education from the University of North Texas. She also earned a Master’s of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from University of Texas at Arlington.
Claudia is a Dallas native and a proud Oak Cliff mother. She is published children’s book author and a champion for building communities of literacy.
